YouTube strikes a deal
In an attempt to befriend content providers, the popular video sharing site YouTube has struck a new deal with CBS, Vivendi’s Universal Music Group and Sony BMG Music Entertainment. This is one month after striking a deal with Warner Music.
CBS said it will provide short-form video content for a CBS “brand channel” on YouTube’s site starting this month, Vivendi said it will allow users to access thousands of music videos and that it will also make video content available and will also let YouTube users include some catalog songs in their own amateur video uploads.
More on this as it comes along.
