Jesus’ burial site found – film claims

Sunday, February 25th, 2007

The cave in which Jesus Christ was buried has been found in Jerusalem, claim the makers of a new documentary film.

If it proves true, the discovery, which will be revealed at a press conference in New York Monday, could shake up the Christian world as one of the most significant archeological finds in history.

About 27 years ago,10 stone caskets were discovered in a cave in Jerusalem. Archologists were summoned, and the caskets were taken away for examination. Twenty years later the names have been deciphered as: Jesua son of Joseph, Mary, Mary, Matthew, Jofa (Joseph, identified as Jesus’ brother), Judah son of Jesua (Jesus’ son – the filmmakers claim).

The film, which documents the stages of the discovery, is the result of three years labor and research. It will be broadcast on the international Discovery Channel, Britain’s Channel 4, Canada’s Vision and Israel’s Channel 8, which also took part in the film’s production.

According to the filmmakers, the film’s claim is based on close work with world-famous scientists, archeologists, statisticians, DNA specialists and antiquities experts.

Multi touch screen to change everything

Wednesday, February 14th, 2007

Perceptive Pixel is a startup founded by Jeff Han. Working all but
alone from his hardware-strewn office, Jeff Han is about to change the
face of computing. Not even the big boys are likely to catch him.
Jeff Han and Phil Davidson shows how a multi-touch computer screen will
change the way we work (and play).

I saw a video about this a few months ago, but the technology seems to have advanced so far in a short amount of time. I can only wonder where they will be 6 months to a year from now. This is going to be very interesting. Check out this video of the multi touch screen in action.

Head of Cartoon Network Resigns

Friday, February 9th, 2007

Jim Samples, the head of Cartoon Network, resigned Friday following the “bomb scare” in Boston. The announcement was made in an internal memo sent to Cartoon Network staff. Samples said he regretted what had happened.

“It’s my hope that my decision allows us to put this chapter behind us and get back to our mission of delivering unrivaled original animated entertainment for consumers of all ages,” Samples said.

Electronic devices with blinking LEDs were planted in 10 cities to promote “Aqua Teen Hunger Force” and their new movie. Officials in Boston feared that the devices were bombs when they found the dark circuit boards with wires. On Monday. Turner Broadcasting (Cartoon Network is a devision of Turner Broadcasting) agreed to pay $2 million in compsensation.
