GTA IV Trailer out now

Thursday, March 29th, 2007

“Life is complicated. I’ve killed people. I’ve smuggled people. Sold people. Perhaps here, things will be different.”

The brand new trailer for GTA IV is out in the wild now. http://www.rockstargames.com/IV/ is the official page but it is down at the moment. It is also available at http://www.gametrailers.com/gamepage.php?id=2924.

If you are a fan of the series you NEED to check this out. While it is short (just over a minute) it is jaw dropping to say the least.

It seems it will take place in Liberty City again and if the trailer is 100% in-game footage (which RockStar usually does) then this has the making of a beautiful game. I seriously hope RockStar can get its servers up and get us some info. I might just have to buy a next-gen console to play this game.

Sunday Night Foldathon

Sunday, March 25th, 2007

Tonight marks the first ever Sunday Night Folathon in support of Stanford’s cancer research effort Folding@Home.

“The S.N.F event is simple. On Sunday Night (March. 25th 2007) everyone who wants to participate in the S.N.F event simply turn there PS3 on and start the folding program, could be anytime you want or when you goto bed, you may let the program run as long as you want but would be great if it could atleast last till 7am Monday morning, its all up to you since anything helps. This is to see how much help we (the playstation community) can be for this program and to show them that the feature is being widely used and maybe saving lives in the process.”

While I don’t own a PS3 I do see the massive amounts of potential this has to really make a difference.

Captain America dead

Wednesday, March 7th, 2007

The latest issue of Captain America hit the stands today, but maybe for the last time as the superhero Captain America was struck down by a sniper as he leaves a courthouse. This will end his long running 66 year series which has sold some 210 million copies.

Don’t take this too seriously though as resurrections are the norm for comics, but you never know.
