The latest issue of Captain America hit the stands today, but maybe for the last time as the superhero Captain America was struck down by a sniper as he leaves a courthouse. This will end his long running 66 year series which has sold some 210 million copies.
Don’t take this too seriously though as resurrections are the norm for comics, but you never know.
I just learned that former WCW, WWE(WWF), ECW wrestler Scott “Bam Bam” Bigelow has passed away. He was 45. He was found dead early Friday morning in his home in Hudson, Fla. An autopsy will be performed.
RIP Bam Bam.
UPDATE: According to a new report from Florida, preliminary autopsy results for the late Scott “Bam Bam” Bigelow did not show any signs of foul play. An official cause of death will not be known until toxicology reports are completed in the next few weeks. More on this as it comes along.
Legendary singer James Brown, the dynamic “Godfather of Soul”, died early Christmas morning. He was 73.
“He was an innovator, he was an emancipator, he was an originator. Rap music, all that stuff came from James Brown,” entertainer Little Richard, a longtime friend of Brown’s, told MSNBC. “A great treasure is gone.”
He will be missed.
Joseph Barbera, half of the Hanna-Barbera animation team that produced such beloved cartoon characters as Tom and Jerry, Yogi Bear and the Flintstones, died Monday, a Warner Bros. spokesman said. He was 95. Barbera died of natural causes at his home with his wife Sheila at his side, Warner Bros. spokesman Gary Miereanu said.
So many classics. He will be missed.
Peter Boyle, the sardonic father on TV’s “Everybody Loves Raymond” has died at age 71. He had been battling Multiple Myeloma and Heart Disease. He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
12/6/06 – 1:15pm – The authorities have confirmed that James Kim was found. They have reported he did not make it.
The friends and family respectfully request that the media refrain from contact during this time to allow us time to be together as friends and family in peace.

Update #3: Still no new news on James Kim, although a few pairs of pants have been found. They hope that James was leaving a trail.

Update #1: The search continues yesterday with the aid if a helicopter and ground crews. No new news yet though.
If you haven’t heard by now, James Kim, an editor at [tag]CNET[/tag], and his family of four has been missing since at least Saturday.
